Join us for volunteer orientation and dog handler training for the upcoming UP200, Midnight Run and Jack Pine 30 sled dog races. Spectators are welcome to come learn about the races.

This outdoor event will be held near the front entrance to the Northern Center. The session will last approximately an hour with plenty of time for questions.

With much sadness, we join many who mourn the loss of musher Frank Moe. Frank and his Moetown team ran both the UP200 and Midnight Run several times during his mushing career. He was easily recognized and well known in Marquette, along the trails, and at the checkpoints. Franks willingness to share his knowledge, his love of dogs and the sport of mushing, and his determination to make things better will long be remembered. His smile, humor and orange hat will be missed. We extend our deepest sympathy to Franks wife Sherri, his family and many friends.

Mush Bus, Hurray! Mush Bus, Hurray!
Need some great news? The Mush Bus is back after our years hiatus! We will be leaving Marquette for Grand Marais the Saturday of race week. The dates for the UP 200, Midnight Run and Jack Pine 30 are February 17th through the 21st. The fun bus ride is Saturday, February 19th. Passengers will board a comfy Checker bus at 10:45 AM at the Marquette Holiday Inn and depart at 11:00 AM.
