Interested in one of our more remote volunteer opportunities? Enjoy up close moments with each team as they pass through one of our trail’s many road crossings. Nothing compares to the snow covered stillness of the UP, especially at night.
Volunteers at road crossings make sure the banks stay smooth where sleds exit and re-enter the trails, direct mushers where to go, and track times when mushers pass through to keep all teams safe.
Spots are still available in Harvey, Chatham, and Wetmore. Check out up200.org/volunteer-descriptions for a more in-depth list of road crossing responsibilities and a link to sign up.
