NMU Interns Play Key Role in UP200

UP200’s longstanding partnership with Northern Michigan University includes the opportunity for NMU Marketing and Communications interns to lead long-term projects with our organization. Given the UP200 is a volunteer-run organization, working with NMU students who are doing dedicated, focused work with us greatly expands our ability to promote our mission and activities.
Our longtime social media intern, Mackenzie Geary, graduated this past May. Mack started working with us in early 2023. During her almost three of years of service, Mack expanded the reach of our social media channels, established processes for our approach to social media, coordinated our volunteer photographers for the 2025 races, and served as our NMU student board member. In other words, she was amazing! We are grateful to Mack for all her hard work and wish her the best in all that’s next for her— and we’re grateful to NMU for making Mack’s internship possible.
While we say goodbye and good luck to Mack, we’re also welcoming Rachel Raniszewski, our new social media intern. Rachel is a public relations major from Traverse City, Michigan and also a lifelong photographer. We’re thrilled to work with Rachel and excited to see her contributions to the races.
