Its an awesome event when art and athletics complement each other! Our Marquette area young artists (K-8) have worked diligently on their dog sledding/winter themed art honoring the arts and the athletes (both four legged and two) that catch our creative imagination. Please show your support of our young artists by attending the Dog Dayz Art ShowSaturday, February 17 from 2:00 4:00in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library.
All students who entered artwork will have the opportunity to win gift basket prizes. In addition, Heather Kendrick, Miss Michigan 2017, will be at the art show to mingle with our artists and present prizes. Miss Kendrick is an art professional whose passion is promoting the arts in our youth. We will also have Seamus, our local dog sledding mascot, at the show for pictures and much loved petting!
This student art show is a collaborative effort between the Lake Superior Art Association (LSAA), the Marquette Arts and Culture Center (MACC) and the Upper Peninsula Sled Dog Association (UPSDA).
