Join us for a fun-filled fall weekend at the 2021 UP200 Dryland Dash on October 9th and 10th. Register online through Wisconsin Trailblazers. Races start at 10:00 a.m. at the Negaunee Township Park located at 42 M35 in Negaunee, Michigan. In partnership with the Wisconsin Trailblazers sled dog club, well host races for rigs, scooters, bikes, and canicross with 1,2, 4 and 6-dog teams competing on one-mile and two-mile trail loops.

As we race by 2021, the UPSDA wants you to know we are still here. Our Annual Meeting will take place May 12,2021 from 6:00 8:00 pm EST both in-person at the Holiday Inn in Marquette and via ZOOM. On March 20, 2021 Michigans mushing community lost a long-time friend and mentor with the passing of Al Hardman. Al was a businessman from Ludington who spent a good deal of time in the Upper Peninsula. He was an accomplished musher with five Iditarod finishes (1997, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2008). As happens with mushers, Al signed up for the 2008 Iditarod after vowing that the 2004 run would be his last time there. Besides Iditarod, he ran numerous races including the UP200 and Midnight Run.

SHIPPING UPDATE: Our new order of merchandise is scheduled to be printed by Wednesday, with hoodies as early as Monday end of day. We will ship them as soon as they arrive but these product shortages may cause a delay in filling orders for Christmas gift giving. This next order is a big one. We are unsure of what will be available after the holidays so were ordering lots of shirts. Our shipping is via Priority Mail, which will help.

At the October 14, 2020 monthly board meeting held via Zoom, the Upper
Peninsula Sled Dog Association (UPSDA) voted to defer the 32nd running of the UP 200, Midnight Run and Jack Pine 30 to 2022.
