The UP200 is proud to offer scholarships for new racers interested in participating in the 2024 Dryland Dash. If the Dryland Dash will be your first race and you hail from Michigan's Upper Peninsula (NMU, Tech and LSSU students welcome!), we encourage you to apply. Scholarships will cover costs and fees for participation in the Dryland Dash scheduled for October 12th and 13th, 2024.
Harrison Birchfield, one of last year's four scholarship recipients, shared this about his first racing experience: “My takeaway from the race is, holy smokes this is amazing! I couldn’t believe how amazing the musher community is and how welcoming everyone involved in the race, from the organizers to the fellow racers. I can’t wait to race again and I am so thankful for the opportunity and privilege of winning the scholarship!” Harrison raced with Tin Man, from Janine Pollock’s kennel.
