The UP200 is one of America’s premier 12-dog, mid-distance sled dog races and draws mushers from around the United States and Canada. The first UP200 was run in February, 1990, after two years of planning by sled dog racing enthusiasts. The current race covers approximately 240 miles from Marquette to Grand Marais, with a return to Marquette along the same trail.

Coinciding with the UP200 is the eight-dog Midnight Run, a challenging race from Marquette to Munising,  with a checkpoint in Chatham. The Midnight Run, or MNR, draws premier teams wanting to test their skill on a technically challenging trail.

The Jack Pine 30 rounds out the weekend’s fun with a six-dog, 30-mile sprint leaving from Gwinn and circling back to Gwinn.

The UP200/Midnight Run/Jackpine 30 is a five day event that offers plenty of excitement for locals & tourists.  You have the opportunity to showcase your logo for the 5,000 – 6,000 spectators as they wait patiently for the  first musher and their dogs to take off from the Downtown Marquette Start. By purchasing the Premiere Advertising Package your banner will be displayed for all to see.

With the implementation of our new website “up200.org” we now offer the opportunity for web advertisement.  With the purchase of the Premiere Advertising Package you can add a rotating banner ad on our website at a discounted rate.

The UP200 website receives an average of 647,000 page views, 41,000 unique visitors and 1,590,000 hits per year.

For those of you just looking for advertising strictly on the UP200 website we offer some great prices which fit right into your budget.

If you have any questions regarding advertising with the UP200 please contact Pam Forsberg.

We would like to thank you for helping to support us with your advertising dollars. These advertisements assist us greatly in keeping the UP200 a vibrant community event.
